Welcome to Edsteps. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using any Edsteps services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the platform.

๐Ÿ“„Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any Edsteps service โ€” including AI exploration tools, mentor sessions, or content pages โ€” you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age (or have parental consent if under 18), that you have read and understood these terms, and that you agree to comply with them.

These terms apply to all users of the platform, including students, mentors, institutional partners, and any other visitors.

๐Ÿ–ฅPlatform Access

Edsteps grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the platform for your personal educational exploration purposes. You may not use the platform for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
  • You may not share your account with third parties
  • Edsteps reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with notice

๐Ÿ“…Session Booking

Mentor sessions on Edsteps are time-bound, scheduled services. By booking a session, you agree to the following:

  • Sessions must be attended at the confirmed time โ€” punctuality is expected from all parties
  • Cancellations must be made with appropriate advance notice as outlined in our Refund Policy
  • Sessions are conducted in good faith for educational exploration purposes only
  • Recording of sessions without explicit consent from all parties is strictly prohibited
  • Session content shared by mentors is for personal educational guidance only and may not be redistributed

Edsteps mentors are experienced individuals sharing real-world perspectives. Their guidance does not constitute formal academic advising, legal counsel, or professional consulting. Final decisions remain your responsibility.

๐ŸคUser Conduct

All platform users are expected to maintain respectful, constructive, and honest interactions. The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive communication toward any user or mentor
  • Misrepresentation of identity, qualifications, or academic background
  • Attempting to circumvent platform systems or book sessions outside the platform
  • Sharing platform content, mentor contact details, or session recordings without consent
  • Using the platform for purposes contrary to student educational interests
  • Submitting false reviews or manipulating the platform's feedback systems

Violations of conduct standards may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

ยฉIntellectual Property

All content on the Edsteps platform โ€” including blog articles, career guides, country and university insights, AI exploration tools, design, and branding โ€” is the intellectual property of Edsteps or its content contributors.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Edsteps content without written permission
  • Content may be referenced for personal educational use with appropriate attribution
  • User-submitted content (reviews, session feedback) grants Edsteps a licence to display and improve services
